So way back in last November we told Sydney that instead of a big birthday party that we would take her to the Atlantis resort in Dubai to go play with the dolphins. It was not a hard sell. However, convincing her to wait until the water was warm enough to splash around in was. It wasn’t, however, just a family trip – it was a girls getaway that included her friend Ava and her mom, Jennifer. So after six months the two girls had waited long enough and all four took off to Dubai.
Since the trip was in the middle of the week and before the summer season the resort kept calling back offering more and more stuff for less and less money so the girls were able to get a room on the concierge level which among other things included meals, tea time, and cocktails – which in Dubai meant that Anita & Jennifer got to enjoy a little champagne with their scones. Anyways, between the flight and the drive it was lunchtime once everyone got checked in so they dropped everything off and went to grab something to eat before hitting the water park.
Finally to the fun stuff. Apparently the water park was a blast. Water slides, wave pools, lazy river – the whole nine yards. There were pool side cabanas and complementary shuttle rides. It was right up Sydney’s alley.
