Smilin...

Well folks, I’m back in the hot.  My last week home was great.  Anita’s aunt, uncle, and cousin stopped by for a few days – always awesome to get to see the fam when I’m back.  Most of Anita’s family is pretty sure she’s making me up since I get to see them as rarely as I do.  Sue took us all out to the boat for the night as an anniversary present.  We buffeted around the world and then promptly lost $20 on nickel slots.  I swear there’s like 50 different ways to win and it still only took us a few hours to blow our gamblin’ stash.  We also went to see Despicable Me – ITS SO FLUFFY!!!!  Cute movie. On my last night we stopped by Shari & Rodney’s for some dinner – mmmmmmm burgers!  The boys were good – I swear Garret – the oldest – will be in high school! Well soon, but still.  Earlier in the week Sue brought home a slip-n-slide for Sydney and we got that set up.  It was more like a run for a few steps, get down on my knees, and inch along the rest of the way when Syd was on it but she thought it was fun.  Of course, I think I saw her lathering it up with dish soap too so who knows.

Yup, that's Kuwait, pretty huh?

Kuwait is the same as always.  Hot, a pain in the rear, and yeah hot.  Had no problems walking in and getting a visit visa but now that it’s almost Ramadan I’m going to stay on the visit visa for a bit and start my residency process after Eid.  Jenny kept the place in tip top shape while we were gone, the animals were all good, the garden is scorched – but hey, its a desert.  So anyways, I’m back, dealing with the people I write proposals for and trying desperately to get back on a normal schedule – no luck so far.  I’ll check in next week with an update.  Laters.
