Well, if you haven’t heard Santa has been sending his elves out to check on kids everywhere for years now. When I was a kid we had two! It seems that we didn’t know the whole story and thought that the little guys were just Christmas ornaments. Turns out that at night they fly back to the North Pole and report in on your behavior. By morning they’re back at the house perched some where else where they can document the naught or nice behavior they witness. Now you can’t touch your elf or you’ll take away part of his/her magic so you’re just supposed to find out where they’re hiding and check in – but no touching!
So our elf came direct from the North Pole – no customs or anything – and addressed by hand to Sydney. Needless to say she was pretty excited. She also came with an excellent book that explained who she was and what she was up to. We had to pick out a name for her and I think Cherry came to mind for Sydney because of her bright red uniform. Since her first night with us she’s accessorized a bit adding a very flattering skirt and a tiny pink scarf. She’s also been all over the house and even got into some on Anita’s chocolates! We’ve really enjoyed having her around this year and hope she’ll come back to visit us every Christmas!
