Hiking & Crafting in Cyprus

So today Sydney wanted to do some exploring around the neighborhood.  Having barely surmounted a few of the hills in the Toyota I was a little weary about the idea but we all got pulled together and marched up the street.  It was a little hilly.  But nonetheless we hiked up the road a bit.  Saw one of the neighbors, lots of flowers – full of bees too, and wandered up to the club house.  We’ve got reservations for Sunday Lunch tomorrow but never found out when lunch was served so we thought we’d stick our head in and find out.  On the way back to pillaged a brush pile at the end of the street for fire wood so we could use the little fire pit tonight.  I couldn’t quite tell how far beyond the end of the cliff the pile extended so it was a little touch and go for a minute there but we managed to grab some decent wood.  Once we got back to the house Anita (with her crafty ways) decided she would – I kid you not she used the actual word – whittle – a walking stick from one of the logs we pulled out of the pile.  Not to be out done I used the scrap bark from her ‘whittling’ to weave ‘rustic’ coasters!  Fun was had by all!
