Dinner with Tom II

Stew & Tom

Well we didn’t get things worked out where we could have Tom back over before he was supposed to leave at the end of September.  Fortunately, his trip got extended a week and he very graciously agreed to spend his last night in Kuwait cooking for us again!  And this time the pics didn’t disappear into the ether.

This time around we had New York Strip Steaks in a pepper cream sauce, roasted cauliflower & capers, endive asiago salad with a lemon honey vinaigrette, and Janet’s famous blueberry cobbler with homemade ice cream.  To say we ate well would be akin to saying I am mildly irritated by communists.  Dinner was amazing.

Just to tease y’all – check out some of the pics below.  Or if you really want to suffer here’s a little video of the steaks being pan seared with fresh herbs in butter.

Starting on the steaks – now Bill’s getting in on the pics too…
Oh yeah, that’s the stuff…

Sydney even got in on the show…
Plating… Yup, that’s right, I had a professional chef plating dinner in my kitchen – how awesome is that?!?!?

On the table…

  1. I’m not 100% sure when he’ll be back in Atlanta. He said he’s doing some sort of tour thru the Napa Valley out in lala land when he gets back and I’m not sure how long that will take. I’ve got his email so I’ll find out. He is a really nice guy (obviously – he offered to cook for us – twice) and a great chef so if he’s in town and you get the chance definitely drop in on him.
