Christmas in Kuwait 2012

Well it’s that time again folks.  All of the fall leaves and cornucopias have been packed away and Christmas is here!  At least at Villa Al Godwin.  As anyone who knows us will attest to when we moved over here 35 feet of our forty foot container was Christmas.  It has taken quite a while this time around but it’s finally up!  Now all we need is a fat goose and some wassailers!  I know I’m a bit behind on some recent posts but we’ll get caught up here shortly.  Until then enjoy the pics and have some Christmas cheer!  Merry Christmas and God bless us, everyone!

  1. Stew,
As you know, I am not only a member of, but the President of the Stew Goodwin fan club. Seriously, I am bummed that we are so far away from the Godwin’s orbit this Christmas season. I’ve said it before and I will say it again w/100% commitment, we will at some point reunite.

Your place looks amazing! I wish I could be at the Godwin Christmas party. Of all the assignments to date, Kuwait was our favorite and that was primarily because of the Godwins.

    Take care, my friend.
    Ryan B.

  2. Ryan, y’all rock and if I could be so bold I would most certainly bestow the title of President for Life upon you! Of course it may just be the two of us sitting around patting each other on the back but that works for me, I’m cool with it. Glad you like the house – only took four days this year! Seriously, I think I may have a problem. As always you’re ornament has a spot high up on the family tree! You’re more than welcome to swing by next time you’re in town and we’ll give ya the tour. We always miss hanging out with y’all most around the holidays but you are most certainly correct that come hell or high water we’ll figure out a reunion time and place. We’ll miss y’all on Christmas Eve but will toast absent friends. Merry Christmas y’all!

  3. Can you please tell me where in Kuwait you got your Christmas crackers? i am trying to find some for a dinner tonight. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

  4. Merry Christmas! Those came from Debenhams or Marks & Spencers. I was at M&S in 360 about 10 days ago and they still had some. The ones we use for decorations we have actually been holding onto for several years so I’ve not looked around for many lately. Hope you find some!
