Anita’s 29th!

Anita's Birthday Party Hat!
Well today is the anniversary of that auspicious day twenty nine years ago when Anita graced us all with her presence. It seems like just a year ago she was turning twenty nine and here we are again celebrating her 29th birthday! Don’t ask me about the math – it works out.
So today started as any other in the “Month of Me” (as Anita has taken to calling January). Anita was able to sleep in a little (I’m pretty sure Sydney set her alarm closer to 8 than to 5 so to give her mom a few more minutes to sleep). I went downstairs and got the cake out of the fridge and uncovered the presents – they were set out last night so I had to cover them with a sheet.
Once Anita was up and about she joined us downstairs (through the rain on home made confetti – Sydney found my paper shredder) and the present opening festivities began! After the presents were all unwrapped we had a pancake breakfast – chocolate chip pancakes – yum! Later tonight we’re meeting some friends for happy hour at the US Embassy and then we’re capping everything off with cake and ice cream. Pix below and more details to come.

Happy BDay, Anita. As luck would have it, I am 29, too! Looks like you had a special day and got lots of nice presents.
Miss you guys a ton…we have to figure out a rejoin in the States!
